The Juncosa Cooperative wins two new medals at the 2019 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition and the 2019 China International Olive Oil Competition

The Juncosa Cooperative has received two new international awards thanks to the quality of Les Cabanes Extra Virgin Olive Oil, PDO Les Garrigues.

The Sant Isidre de Juncosa Farming Cooperative has won the gold medal in the Delicate Arbequina Category at the 2019 New York International Olive Oil Competition for oil quality.

This contest, held 10 May 2019 in New York, is the biggest and most prestigious quality contest for oil. Its annual list of award recipients serves as the authorized guide to the best oils in the world and the dedicated producers who make them.

In addition, the Cooperative has won — for the second year in a row — the bronze medal in the Light Flavour Extra Virgin Olive Oil Category at the 2019 China International Olive Oil Competition for the quality of its Taste of Earth Oil.

In this case, the goal of this competition, held 14 to 16 May 2019 in Shanghai, China, is to promote extra virgin olive oil in Asia, demonstrating its properties to the consumers, importers and wholesalers throughout this giant market.

The new acknowledgements for this oil — with a fruity profile, featuring green fruits with hints of apple, green almonds and tomato and a touch of spiciness — join the ones obtained in Paris, China, Japan, Los Angeles and London and highlight the focus on quality and innovation which form part of the Cooperative’s working base.
