Taste of Earth, the extra virgin olive oil produced at the Sant Isidre Farmers’ Co-op, is named Best Oil of Catalonia from a Cooperative at the ESAO Awards
The ESAO Awards, official accolades recognised around the world with the goal of guaranteeing quality oil, grant the award for best EVOO of Catalonia to Taste of Earth, the Juncosa Co-op’s star oil, remarkable for its original taste and format.
Producers, cooperatives, packagers and marketers from around the world participate in the ESAO competition, organised by the Superior School of Olive Oil, and it represents an honour which joins the effort and work of everyone in the olive oil production sector. For Les Cabanes, the award signifies a dedication to all members and workers of the Co-op of Juncosa, a town known for producing an internationally awarded extra virgin olive oil.
A high quality, superior category olive oil, distinguished by its intense green colour and its perfect balance with intense touches, which aims to recall the “taste of the earth”. It is obtained directly from arbequina olives and has won awards at multiple competitions in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, most recently in Japan at the 2023 Japan Olive Oil Prize.
