Second gold medal in a row at the 2020 London International Olive Oil Competitions
The Sant Isidre de Juncosa Farming Cooperative has won, for the second year in a row, the Gold Medal at the 2020 London International Olive Oil Competitions in the Quality Category for the quality of its oil Taste of Earth.
The contest, held from 18 to 20 June 2020 at the London Hilton Hotel, aims to showcase high-quality extra-virgin olive oil in all aspects of its sphere of use and consume. Thus, the competition is designed to inform oil producers, pressers, producers and retailers on how to preserve and improve the quality of their products.
Juncosa Cooperative awarded two medals, bronze and gold, at the 2019 LONDON INTERNATIONAL OLIVE OIL COMPETITIONS
The Sant Isidre de Juncosa Agricultural Cooperative
has won the Gold Medal in the Medium Category at the 2019 London International Olive Oil Competitions for the quality of its oil, Taste of Earth, a limited special edition of early harvest oil.
In addition, the cooperative has also been awarded the Bronze Medal in the Total Image Category for the design and packaging of a bottle specially designed for its hundred-year anniversary, commemorated this year. Judges took aspects like innovation, colours, material and general image into account.
The competition, held from 11 to 13 April 2019 in London, aims to promote high-quality extra virgin olive oil and its multiple varieties and spread knowledge on the nutritional properties associated with this basic component of the Mediterranean diet among consumers and international restaurant industry professionals.
Two new acknowledgements -- to add to those previously received in Paris, China, Japan and Los Angeles -- which highlight the cooperative's focus on quality and innovation, including on the aesthetic level, and form part of its working base.
