The Juncosa Cooperative wins the gold medal in Delicate Arbequina at the prestigious NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition of 2019
The Sant Isidre de Juncosa Farming Cooperative wins the gold medal in the Delicate Arbequina Category at the 2019 New York International Olive Oil Competition for the quality of our oil, made from early harvest arbequina olives.
This contest, held on 10 May 2019 in New York, is the biggest and most prestigious quality contest for oil. Its annual list of award recipients serves as the authorized guide to the best oils in the world and the dedicated producers who make them.
The jury, made up of 18 judges from 13 different countries, received a total of 1000 extra virgin olive oil samples from 27 countries. Prizes were awarded in a number of categories: Northern and Southern Hemispheres, mono-varietal and blended, and a special distinction for organics.
A new recognition to add to those previously received in Paris, China, Japan, Los Angeles and London, highlighting the quality and innovation which constitute the foundation of our Cooperative’s work.
